There are a variety of self-help books that are beneficial to read. I suggest three in particular:
For anxiety issues: The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook: A Practical Step-by-Step Guide by Edmund J. Bourne (currently have six editions, any edition will do).
For negative self-talk: Mind Over Mood: Change How You Feel by Changing the Way You Think by Dennis Greenberger and Christine A. Padesky (currently have two editions, either edition will do).
For relationship issues: Wired for Love by Stan Tatkin. He also has a book Wired for Dating. Stan Tatkins writes about understanding your brain, and your partner's brain. A beneficial read for everyone, for we are all in relationships, whether intimate relationships or not.
